I used to beg my children to learn from the experiences the their mother and I had gone through. It would save them major grief. Then I ventured out on my own and found that I virtually ignored the beaten path because I didn’t want to be like everyone else. Let’s just say that it didn’t always work in my favor and gave my kids more lessons to learn.
Has a new leaf been turned? Not really, but I do find myself looking around a lot more for answers before I make them up myself. Check out this linked in article. There’s a big difference between the corporate world many of us started in and the independent world we currently work in.
